Thank you for supporting Rena and I as we wrote her story. Without you we should have starved in the basement, forgetting to take breaks for lunch and dinner and walks around the Blue Ridge Mountains. We would have forgotten ourselves without you to remind us that there was a world outside.  With your help, we kept Rena in the present day, not the past. It was you who brought her back from painful memories and kept her safe. And when she fell ill, you were still there beside her trying to forge a path between us, praying that her illness would not take her from us, and when she was gone, you kept your vigil by her graveside. Every day.  And even though she was silent to the rest of us, I know you could hear her voice. Please, don’t let us be without yours, as well. Watch over us and guide us and remind us to be fair and kind to others–that is the Gelissen way. That is the John and Rena way.

“A kind of Sex in the City w/o clothes on!”

Launches July 1! Join the Club and become an active member of the writing process as proven novelist and Natl. Book Award nominated author finishes her latest novel with you as a participant!
Every week through July and August, The Sag Harbor Mermaid Club will meet on KINDLE and SMASHWORDS and you the reader will be able to take a dip with the characters (a group of women all ages, shapes and sizes who sneak down to the beach each morning for a skinny dip)!

As a reader, you get to discuss, comment and make editorial suggestions to the story in this is a VIRTUAL Book CLUB with the author!

SHMC will be uploaded to KINDLE and on SMASHWORDS, in 6 parts (Smashwords will offer a PDF for those w/o IPads, Kindles, etc, who still want to participate).
